ZoukOut 2018: The Latest & Greatest

If you think the full lineup drop was madness, are you even ready for what’s coming below? For starters, please fasten your seatbelts and get ready for takeoff. Let the journey begin.

Zena, who?

If you’ve been keeping up, you might have noticed sneak peaks of a humanoid female robot popping up on our Instagram feed. Now, meet ‘Zena’ – the Android face of ZoukOut 2018. Designed by Los Angeles based visual artist, Blake Kathryn, whose notable works include The Chainsmoker’s ‘Side Effects’ music video. ‘Zena’ is created with Blake’s signature aesthetic of surreal undertones, futurism and vibrant palette in line with the festival theme. That is ‘The Interplanetary Voyage’, followed by the narrative of a ‘fembot on a mission’. So you best be keeping those eyes peeled ‘cause you’re only going to see more of this beauty dipped in mercury that will make heads turn.

The Mothership

The ZoukOut stage this year is designed by the world-renowned Unlimited Productions, the staging producers behind prolific festivals such as Tomorrowland and Daydream Festival. Its design was inspired by the ‘mothership’, the iconic lighting fixture in Zouk Singapore’s mainroom. We’re not spilling much tea here, but here’s a tiny spoiler.

The Space Stations

Roving performances & installations

Get the most out of your festival experience and catch not-to-miss roving acts from Cyber Japan dancers to fiery performances by the Ekta Singapura dance troupe and more to come. For those who are all about looking glitz and glam for the gram? Head over to the Body Marbling station, or visit the OGX and Lazada booths for hair and beauty refreshes.

Food Village

For the food fanatics and peckish, this year’s Food Village will feature an exciting curation of familiar and renowned vendors. You name it, we’re getting you covered with grilled specialties such as the signature Sangers from Burnt Ends, mouth-watering meats from Meatsmith, Spanish delights including tapas favourite, Patata Bravas from FOC Sentosa (FOC Group), and Vietnamese street classics including the Banh mi with Caramelized 5-spice Pork Belly for a hearty pre and post dance fix.
